Our Focus of Work
As a Foundation, our vision is to engage in our community and not only better understand its needs, but being able to close the gaps between people and the accessibility to resources to sexual and reproductive health care services and education. For this, we have created a health center that not only offers the services we want to have available for our community, but can also host the space for our community to thrive.
We have also centered our work in 3 different areas where we can only not support, but we can also collaborate.
Outreach and Education
We come with over 20 years in experience in healthcare and sex education. Not only experience, but passion, we love it. We understand the debt this country has to our communities in comprehensive sex education is part of the misunderstanding and gap in resources for our communities.
We are interested in creating safe harm reduction spaces for our communities to not only thrive, but to make educated decisions, and find better understanding, companionship, joy, as well as pleasure on their journey. We will be training Abortion Doulas, and offering series of Sex Education Classes in local organizations, Colleges, and Communities Centers.
Stay tuned about our offerings, but don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to go ahead and schedule something
Community Engagement
We would definitely want more community participation.
One community we have had the pleasure to work with has been Faith Leaders. They often influence health-seeking behavior and faith-based organizations providing a notable amount of healthcare information, services, and supplies, and we are so thankful for them when they are committed to sexual and reproductive justice.
We are looking to funding strategies that encourage collaboration between faith-based and secular organizations when seeking project support. We highly recommend and support joint efforts between these groups to implement family planning initiatives successfully, and we are looking for ore organizations interested to join us. If you are any of these, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Clinical Affairs and Research
We had collaborations in the past, and looking forward for newer collaborations with local Universities and Hospitals for resident students, as the The University of Wisconsin, as well as Family Planning Foundations across the United States like the #WeCount research for Society of family Planning. We are also expanding our conversations with UIC and the Swedish Hospital in Rockford, IL.
We are looking for more collaborations with hospitals and Universities looking for residency spaces. Our interest is to continue engaging in research to continue validating by science the importance of reproductive healthcare and abortion policy and investment.
If you are interested in any form of collaboration, don’t hesitate to contact us
